Computer Room
All learners in Grade 1-7 attend computer lessons during the week.  Here is an example of what the learners completed in Term 3.

Grade 1:  Refining keyboard and mouse skills, with typing programs and educational games. Basic MS Word and Excel skills (typing, fonts, & sizes). Introduction to Scratch coding program.

Grade 2:  Refining keyboarding skills. Inserting pictures onto a document. Introduction to Scratch Coding Program.

Grade 3:  Refining basic word and excel skills (fonts, sizes, justification). Internet skills (Scavenger hunt and research). Scratch Coding Program.

Grade 4:  Google Earth Project, Scratch Coding program, Internet research skills and Keyboard Shortcuts, Digital Citizenship (Digital and Online Safety).

Grade 5:  PowerPoint animations, transitions & timer. Game development using Kodu Game lab, Market Day poster and internet research for weather project. Digital Citizenship (Digital and Online Safety).

Grade 6:  Excel formulas and charts, MS word auto shapes (Island Project) and Game Development using Kodu Game lab.  Digital Citizenship (Digital and Online Safety).

Grade 7:  Logo design using paint program. Excel formulas and charts. Short Story Development with Alice coding program. Digital Citizenship (Digital and Online Safety).

Leap Centre
The Learner Support Centre opened on the 16th January 2013.  It houses an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, a Remedial Teacher and a Counselor.

This centre provides support in assisting learners who have specific areas of difficulties and delays in their learning.  Having onsite therapists affords learners the opportunity of being remediated on campus.

Media Centre
The library is open every day from 7h00 until 14h30.  Learners attend library lessons once a week where they are able to take out books.  The selection of books on the shelves caters for all interests.  Displays related to local and current affairs are exhibited to invoke interest and discussions.

 

Nkulisa Centre

The Nkulisa Conference Centre is available to hire out for functions such as weddings, graduations, birthday celebrations, baby showers, seminars etc.

This facility includes:

  • State of the art, air-conditioned open plan conference space – maximum 350 pax
  • Kitchen on the premises for serving only
  • Ample parking with 24 hour security.
